Our facility is designed to accomplish our mission about addiction recovery. Special attention was paid to the design for personal privacy, comfort, and attractiveness. Group areas are for making healthy connections, relaxation, exercise, and more. The facility is within 15 minutes of three hospitals, many doctors, four clinics, shopping, state forests, and numerous parks. Our facility is 14,000 sq. ft. on 2+ acres of grounds with trees and gardens in a quiet, upscale residential area, providing everything a student needs for success and being easily accessible at 25 miles from the airport. As weather permits, public swimming, outdoor walking on streets, rails to trails, parks, and nearby forests are used for fitness and recreation, and in the event of bad weather, students can utilize our indoor fitness area.
Our program is divided into steps, each with a special focus flowing into the next for full restoration. They may be experienced one after the other or separately. The fist step can be repeated to create a stronger foundation.
What Is In Each Step Of Our Program
The First Step (6 Weeks)
This step focuses on the three three wondrous and distinctly human activities:
1. Making and preserving a loving connection to another and recovering when it ends
2. Critical thinking
a. Facts separated from illusion
b. Reality corrects bias or assumptions
c. Reasoning reveals deception
3. Understanding world views with the implications for
a. Faith,
b. Spirituality
c. Rules and common law
d. God, Redemption & Eternity
The Following Step (6 Months)
This step will then complete the short-term program of 7-1/2 months
This step is focused on learning to apply the foundations by:
1. Meditating on the wonders and beauty of creation and the Bible
2. Learning and practicing life skills
3. Growing in your spiritual life
4. Learning a variety of work skills to find purpose .
5. Therapy is through encounter groups, special studies, and one on one life coaching.
The skills and life practices should reveal one's unique purpose and gifts.
The Last Step (6 Months)
This step finishes the long-term program. It is devoted to further development of skills, practices and purpose through employment, school, and on-site training while remaining in residence. Life coaching and problem solving are part of this to transition the student to ordinary life. Extensions of this period are given at request.
